Chat’s Been Asking For This For Years

Chat users: The wait is over. Just learned: GIFs will be available in chat for paid subscriber Tiers 2 and 3! Twitch announced the GIPHY partnership at TwitchCon Rotterdam in May and started limited testing in July.

Viewers have already been paying for a version of this. Gigantify an Emote lets you spend Bits to send an oversized emote into chat. GIFs give chat more specific emotions to share.

GIPHY configurations:

• The channel must be monetized, have the feature available, and the streamer must have the GIF keyboard enabled.
• The streamer controls the toggle and frequency settings from the creator dashboard.
• Access is limited to Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscribers.
• 30-second cooldown per user once live.

Eligible Users:

 Tier 2 and Tier 3 paid subscribers on tested channels.
